I was looking for a bag that I could dump into my truck, taking it out only when home or hoofing it back home in cases of truck failure, EMP, Zombies, etc. This bag (25L) exceeded my expectations 150%+.
I have a sling bag from DBTAC, which I was using in my hybrid scenario. Mainly wallet, extra keys, some energy bars, iPad mini, etc.
My intent was to add a CCW to it, but it was getting heavy very fast. So, taking a shot at this bag.
PROS:
- zippers are smooth out of the box, no issues like with 'other' bags like this but 3x more costly.
- stitching in all of the 'weak' points is 2x, also did NOT find one single 'loose threads' anywhere.
- the retainer straps have BOTH keepers and folded over double threaded at end so no way they will
come undone, also the snaps are solid, none warped, snap in cleanly and more importantly, unsnap very
well.
- expansion on the 25L bag is excellent. I 'moved' a pouch from my DBTAC sling bag, noticing that I
actually, have a lot more room. This pouch had a few 4oz water pouches, some beef jerky and dummy
sweets. I'll be getting a larger, internal pouch or two and adding to it couple MREs, a larger FAK and
other 'stuff' the experts on YouTube say you must have. Yeah right....
- the material itself over all is solid, medium-heavy and truly what the seller described (900D). I've gone
thru about 30 bags in the past year, trying to find something that would work. Of the 30 (includes this
one), I've return 27, sometimes within hours of receiving them. First impressions really make the
decision whether to save or return. This one is a keeper!!
- The shoulder straps are actually functional, good padding, not overtly 'super padded' which of those, you're looking at $200-$400.
- the back of the pack has that same padding, not 3D, but more than adequate for EDC carrying around,
or as a truck bag when needed. It does not come with a waste strap, which is ok, since given the usage it
will handle.
- I intend to carry BOTH the sling bag (EDC), and this backpack (GHB) in a SHTF scenario, with the sling
bag swinged around on my chest. It really comes more useful as a EDC/CCW bag. lots of elastic band for
2+ CCW, plus about 8 mags (9mm, 45), some backup water and short-term food stuffs (thus the EDC
role).
CONS - NASFO!!
- push-comes-to-shove, I can transfer everything from EDC to GHB if needed, still with everything I intend
to put into this bag for its role.
- also, delivery was absolutely astounding; order it on Monday morning, got it Wednesday morning!!
- the packaging was surprisingly good. The bag where the actual pack was in I intend to use for a storage
pouch, it's that good!!
- This company also sells a 35L and 45L, which I have in my cart for later review (I basically go thru a
particular category (e.g., backpacks for EDC, GHB and SHTF/BOB). While I've got a few for the SHTF in
review (Maxpedition, Vanquest, First Tactical, etc.), They are $300+ more than the 45L bag is.
- My philosophy is why pay for a pack that 90% of the time will sit in the back of my truck,
not 'used', and cost 10x more?
- If truly SHTF, then cost won't matter, but quality and usefulness is.
- In the very near future, I'm going to get their 45L bag for the BOB/SHTF modes, using this 25L bag as a
spare
- this bag has to pockets for water. I can place 2x 16oz bottles you get from Walmart, Amazon, etc. I'm
looking in those types of bottles that have internal filters, etc. just in case on way home I come across a
creek, mud puddle, etc. I have 10x 1.5L bottles always in my truck. Though they won't fit into the side
pockets, I could place one inside if needed.
- Plenty of Molle points which to attach addition pouches. Trust, me I have a lot!!
Overall, EXCELLENT company and their products. If they sold a fanny pack, or a smaller type sling bag, I would NOT hesitate in purchasing them as well.
Finally, understand that for me to keep a bag purchased on Amazon, with NO consideration returning it, is an amazing thing unto itself. I'm not rich, but do manage my monies wisely, especially in terms of product buys.

The one thing I like least about it is the water bottle holders are just shy of fitting my 30oz hydroflask which is my go to gym water bottle. I end up keeping it in a pocket but I wish it fit in the pocket designed to fit the bottle
